You assume all liability for any damages caused by following these steps.

While using Verify Integrity should fix anything that this could possibly cause, there remains a remote chance that something could go completely off the chain. If these steps don't work for you, first try updating Mono and Python and make sure your video drivers are up to date and see if that doesn't fix your problem.Īs always, this is an experimental situation, and there is the possibility that this could scrag your entire F:NV install. I also use PPA's to keep up with the latest stable for Mono, Python, and my video drivers, which tend to be a common source of issues. I am currently using the Proton 3.16-4 Beta, however I've also done this in the Proton 3.7-8 stable as well. This might be helping with some of the stutter issues. I've got an 8 core 3.5GHz AM3+ Proc with 16 GB RAM, so pretty beefy. In theory, this means it should work for just about any Debian-based distros including Ubuntu. I run Linux Mint 18.3 (64 bit) with Cinnamon desktop.

First, let's go over the environment variables, then let's proceed from there. Maybe some of you face the same problem.I know, it's a pretty big claim. PS: This was supposed to be a question but meanwhile I figured it out by myself so I decided to post it as a little guide anyway. So the only thing you have to do is change the target. It still works if I change " goggame-galaxyFileList.ini" and " " back to the original file. (The path may be different on your computer) Right click this file > properties > targetĬhange " G:\GOG\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNVLauncher.exe" to " G:\GOG\Fallout New Vegas\nvse_loader.exe" and start the game trough GOG Galaxy. Then I also edited the file " goggame-galaxyFileList.ini" and replaced " F18=FalloutNV.exe" and " F347=FalloutNVLauncher.exe" with " F18=nvse_loader.exe" and " F347=nvse_loader.exe".īut then I found a shortcut "Launch Fallout - New Vegas" in the Fallout New Vegas folder. When I launch the game trough GOG Galaxy it still launches " FalloutNVLauncher.exe" and NVSE is not enabled. So I edited the file " " and replaced " FalloutNV.exe" and " FalloutNVLauncher.exe" with " nvse_loader.exe". (Sorry, but I can't post links unfortunately.) I found a reddit post which looks promising.

Is there a way to get this working? I like achievements. This works fine but GOG Galaxy doesn't notice the game is running, which means I won't get achievements and my play time won't get tracked. I installed NVSE and launch the game trough " nvse_loader.exe". I have played Fallout NV a lot but this is my first try to get some mods working.
